Sergeant First Class (SFC) Stephanie Eddington:
SFC Eddington was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. She attended Parkview Arts and Magnet High School and graduated in June 1999. She attended Pulaski Technical College and received an Associate’s Degree and is currently attending Liberty University to complete her Bachelor’s Degree.
SFC Eddington’s military career started on February 16, 1999, when she enlisted in Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 39th Infantry Brigade, Little Rock, Arkansas. In October 1999, she attended Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. January 2000, she attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina where she was awarded the Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) 42A, Personnel Specialist. In 2002, SFC Eddington was reassigned to Detachment 4, Medical Detachment, State Area Command (STARC) as a Patient Administrative Specialist. On February 9, 2004, she was mobilized for 3 years in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the Community Based Healthcare Organization (CBHCO) at Camp J.T. Robinson.
In 2007, SFC Eddington was hired into the Arkansas National Guard Federal Technician Program where she served in numerous positions to include Secretary (OA), Administrative Assistant to the State Command Sergeant Major, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Victim Advocate Coordinator and Health Systems Specialist.
From 2010 to 2016, SFC Eddington served as the Executive Assistant to The Adjutant General of Arkansas. She was the first African American in the history of the Arkansas National Guard to serve in that position. She currently works as a Budget Analyst in the Title 5 Federal Employee Program. Militarily, she is assigned as the Senior Human Resource Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) at the Arkansas Medical Detachment and serves as the S1, Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) at Camp Robinson.
SFC Eddington’s military training include the Primary Leadership Development Course, Advanced Common Core Course, Army National Guard Basic Human Resource and Administration Course, Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention Certification Course, Army National Guard Unit Readiness NCO Course, Human Resources Specialist Advanced Leaders Course Phase I and Phase II, Human Resources Senior Leaders Course Phase I and II, Commander’s Safety Course, Joint Medical Executive Skills Institute Personal and Professional Ethics Course and the Budget Analyst Course.
Her awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3), Army Achievement Medal (4), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (8), Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal (2), Army Service Ribbon, Arkansas Emergency Service Medal, Arkansas Federal Service Ribbon, and the Arkansas Service Ribbon (4).
SFC Eddington is a member of the Enlisted Association of the Arkansas National Guard, and she has served as a volunteer with the Highway 365 Optimist Club. SFC Eddington has over 24 years of exceptional military service. She lives in Maumelle, Arkansas with her husband Kenneth and two daughters, Taylor and Logan.
